My Love of Travel Started With One Trip. It Became So Much More.
MEET MARIJIA
Hi, I’m Marijia, founder and independent travel advisor behind Make Sense Beyond Travel.
My love of travel began in 2011 with a cruise to the Bahamas. What started as one vacation became a genuine curiosity about the world, its cultures, food, people, landscapes, and all the different ways a destination can be experienced.
Since then, my travels have taken me throughout the Caribbean and to destinations across Africa, Asia, Europe, Latin America, and North America. I’ve explored Thailand, experienced the culture and history of Turkey, traveled through Ethiopia, gone on safari in Tanzania, visited the United Arab Emirates, and experienced islands and destinations throughout the Caribbean and beyond.
But somewhere along the way, I realized something important: the destination is only part of what makes a trip memorable.
It’s how you experience it.
That belief became the foundation for Make Sense Beyond Travel. Today, I help travelers move beyond simply choosing where to go and think about why they’re traveling, how they want to feel, and what they want to experience along the way.
Because to me, travel has always been more than a trip…it’s an experience that should make sense for you.

Some of my favorite travel memories have come from trying something new, experiencing another culture, sharing moments with people I care about, or simply seeing a place I had only imagined.
That’s what I want for my clients, too. Not someone else’s version of the perfect vacation, but an experience that feels meaningful, memorable, and right for you.
